1989 // Houston // Love

The wind whips my hair into tiny knots that will probably be impossible to get out, but it's exhilarating. Going 65 miles an hour with the windows down and some of your favorite music, yet also music you are still to discover, blasting out of the silver jeep as you drive therough the city you are all too familiar with, yet are experiencing for the first time. The city at night glows big and bright deep in the heart of Texas. Listening to an artist you love, holding the hands of the boy you hope to marry, and knowing that tonight is infinite. The beauty of city lights in the dark of midnight.

The unfamiliar city was my new love because of the proper music and the proper boy. We all have our own infinte, but that night I couldn't sleep for hours because I was so exhilerated by my new found love. I fell in love with Taylor Swift's new album for the first time. I fell in love with Houston for the first time. I fell in love with him for the hundredth time since I met him less than a year ago.

I guess embracing it was the easiest thing to do.

To fall in love with a night.

To fall in love with a man.
