Purpose

Life is about finding something to die for and living for it.

I found Christ and living for him is difficult, but incredibly rewarding. In striving to become more like Him, I have found more peace, love, and joy than I could have ever imagined. Sure, I have incredible shortcomings and when I stumble, I have a tendency to fall flat on my face, but for some reason God's grace is overwhelming and his love is abounding. For some reason, He chooses to welcome me with open arms even when I've been running away for so long. And I find daily joy in God' abounding grace and love.

Because I choose to strive to live like Christ, I try to live Corinthians 13. I strive to be like Christ. Christ is God. God is love. Love is patient, kind, protective, trusting, hopeful, persevering, rejoicing in truth. It is NOT envious, NOT boastful, NOT proud, NOT rude, NOT self-seeking, NOT easily angered, NOT recording of wrongs, NOT delighting in evil, and NOT failing.  So I strive to be like this.

What does my Christianity have to do with blogging? The same thing it has to do with everything. It is an integral part of my life. Seeking after Christ is seeking after the greatest joy, ever. Therefore, when seeking Christ I will stumble upon little hints at the fullness of His glory and goodness. These little sneak peeks at heaven are what I want to write about. I want to write about the good in a world where we focus on the bad.
