Thankful // Thursday // Husband

I am incredibly thankful for my husband. More than that, I am proud of him. I am thankful that he works so hard at work. I am grateful for mornings that he wakes up at five because work is an hour and a half away. I am grateful for his late nights. I am grateful for his hard work because it allows me to stay at home with our little one.

As I am writing this, I realize my words are insufficient to describe the gratitude I have towards the man who is committed to walk through life with me. I know if I were to begin to list the things that he does for me, I would be writing for hours. I am grateful for his love and all the ways he demonstrates his love for me and for our child.I a grateful for his passion for his church and for serving God. I am grateful for his jokes because I know he'll laugh when mine are corny. I'm grateful because #lovewins in our relationship everyday. I'm grateful because we both are able to pursue a godly relationship with each other. I'm grateful because he encourages me to grow and pursue my dreams. We have grown together and grown towards God. We are in a partnership with the understanding that the other comes first. We are in a relationship where our goal is to mimic Christ and the church. I am thankful that he understands my desire for gender roles and my desire for independence. I am so grateful that he understands me and respects me. Most of all I am grateful that he loves me.
